Hargreaves Contracting has worked for Aldi since 2002 and this relationship has now developed from a ‘strategic alliance’ into a construction management framework agreement.

Over recent years we have undertaken a multiple store, roll-out extension programme across the North West, this has involved the refurbishment, re-modelling and extension works to fully operational retail outlets. Works have included full shop-fitting, finishes and M&E installations.

In conjunction with this programme, we have also built several new retail stores.  These have involved demolition, remediation and infrastructure works along with the construction of ‘Austrian’, ‘German’ and bespoke design stores.

In order to achieve strict programme criteria, off-site manufacturing processes have been developed including the use of pre-fabricated, insulated, pre-cast panels and long span trusses in conjunction with traditional steel frame and masonry techniques.

The value range for these projects is £1.5m - £3.0m with contract periods ranging from 16 - 18 weeks for the extension schemes to 22 – 26 weeks for the new build units.
