Environmental Policy Statement

Hargreaves Contracting Limited is a business whose activities include general building, contracting, house building, refurbishment, industrial and commercial development and design and build services.  We are committed to excellence in all aspects of the construction process and recognise that our activities can have significant implications with respect to the environment. 

Hargreaves Contracting Limited is committed to developing a culture (through training and communication) in which protection of the environment is a common objective shared with clients, contractors, suppliers and partners and the communities in which we operate.  This statement forms the basis of the Hargreaves Contracting Limited Environmental Policy and reflects the requirements of the Board of Hargreaves Contracting Limited.



We are committed to:-

1. Continuous improvement in our environmental performance;

2. Preventing pollution;

3. Setting environmental objectives and targets which are reviewed annually;

4. Providing appropriate environmental training for our employees;

5. Complying with all applicable environmental legislation.


In support of this, the Board of Hargreaves Contracting Limited has initiated the development of an environmental management system based on the principles of ISO 14001 and placed Environmental Issues as an agenda item at management meetings. 

We require all employees to conduct their duties in accordance with our Policy and in doing so,  reflect the individual and corporate professionalism that is the keystone of our continuing success as a company. 


The effectiveness of the Policy is monitored regularly and the Policy is reviewed formally on an annual basis.
