Acting as Developer and Contractor, Hargreaves acquired this existing, detached Georgian residence, in Blackrod, adjacent to the A6 and M61, situated on the edge of the West Pennine Moors, with views of nearby Rivington and Horwich.

The former mill owner’s house was converted and extended to create a 104 bedroom, 4* hotel with extensive conference, function and leisure facilities, and it is now part of the Ramada Jarvis chain of hotels.

Undertaken in three phases over a two year period, this Grade II listed manor house was sympathcially restored and extended.  The new extensions comprise of a steel frame and facing masonry construction.Extensive ground retaining walls were used in the construction of the health and leisure facility, to protect the spectacular views available from the existing building.
