Another successful project undertaken for Warburtons this time to provide a new production bakery for the manufacture of various confectionery lines including  morning goods. Ground remediation in the form of pressure grouting of existing shallow worked coal seams, together with the re-grading and dynamic compaction of the existing ground preceded the main construction works. These works comprised the construction of a new bakery plant with associated facilities for delivery of raw materials, production and distribution..

Adjacent to the bakery, single storey ancillary areas were constructed comprising offices, engineers’ workshop, electrical intake room, boiler and compressor rooms.
The remainder of the site comprised a service road with links to staff and visitor car parks as well as access routes to docking points and a turning circle for lorry delivery and despatch.
